One-Day Recreational Tournament

Did you ever want to join a tournament and just have fun but still compete to challenge your skills?
Did you ever want to try a tournament for your first time?
Aren’t on a team? Don’t know anyone? Don’t have enough people for a team?
 
Well, the TSVL One-Day Volleyball Tournament is perfect for you!
 
This tournament is focused on challenging your skills in a competitive and fun environment as well as teaching the rules of the game and acting as a second referee, the building block to becoming a first referee.
 
Sign-up is individual. Partner requests are permitted subject to the following:
-       a recreational player can request to play with another recreational player
-       a competitive player can request to play with a recreational player and vice versa
-       a competitive player cannot request to play with another competitive player
 
So sign up and get ready for some fun!
 
VENUE:             Monarch Park Collegiate
                        1 Hanson St. (3 blocks South of Danforth/Coxwell)
                        Toronto, Ontario 
             
 
TOURNAMENT includes:
            - 8:30am – 9:30am - second referee clinic
            - 10:00am – start of matches:
                                    - morning round robin
                                    - afternoon single elimination playoffs
            - snacks
            - medals
            - mentoring by an experienced player
            - each team will be formed by the tournament committee with a goal to balance
              all teams
            - the teams will also be created by random draw but by skill level to ensure
              fairness
            - each team includes an experienced player
 
SOCIAL: Join in for some post-tournament relaxation and fun at the Churchmouse and Firkin, 475 Church Street - 5:30pm

WHO CAN PLAY: This tournament is organized for TSVL members.  Non-members are also allowed to register if they are player bonded with a TSVL member.

COST: $15 / person – cash or cheque post-dated no later than Feb 23/12, payable to: 'Toronto Spartan Volleyball League'. Hand in to an Executive or mail cheque to:
